“A new thing coming “
A letting go series before my birthday
Bittersweet, uncontrollable changes, and a joyful expectation—those words best explain my state of mind.
Over the past few months, I’ve felt a lot, a little, and sometimes nothing at all. But I’m assured that change is here. A change of seasons, a new age, new risks, new love, a new heart, new thoughts, new ideas, new strength, new motions, and new motivations. Change, movement, and new depths of trust (sigh). I’m honored and beyond glad that I won’t be doing it alone.
One thing I’ve been forced to understand… just kidding.
The one thing I truly know for sure is that God is with me. He wants to guide me, hold me, and show me things I don’t know about yet. I know that I will not fail nor fall because He is always holding my hand.
It’s a time for a shift.
And the Word of the Lord says:
“But no one puts a piece of unshrunk (new) cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and a worse tear results. Nor is new wine put into old wineskins [that have lost their elasticity]; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the [fermenting] wine spills and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, so both are preserved.”
— Matthew 9:16–17 (AMP)
A new thing is coming—greater than now and better than yesterday.
Specifically, the part where it says:
“I can see a cloud heavy with rain
And it looks like revival, it's headed our way
Oh, I can see a cloud heavy with rain
And it looks like salvation is headed our way
I can hear a sound, the abundance of rain
And it sounds like freedom and it's headed our way
I can hear a sound, the abundance of rain
And it sounds like provision is headed our way
Oh, I can see a cloud, and it's heavy with rain
And it looks like healing is headed our way
Oh, I can see a cloud, and it's heavy with rain
And it looks like joy, and it's headed our way”
I hear the sound.
